Bu kitap iyi ama eski. This is book is nice but old.
O kız güzel ama huysuz. That girl is beautiful but bad tempered.
Biz fakiriz ama mutluyuz. We are poor but happy.
Onlar zengin ama mutsuz. They are rich but unhappy.
Note:
I can drink anything but tea. Her şeyi içebilirim ama çay içemem. (Çay hariç her şeyi içebilirim.)
In Turkish the word but does not work like in English in such sentences. In other words we can't say "Her şeyi içebilirim ama çay" This sentence does not make sense unless we add the verb (içemem/I can't) after and we need to use one of those two sentences I wrote above. In the second sentence, hariç means except. And that sentence literally means "I can drink everything except tea".
