To have a baby in Turkish

While I was writing a document about Turkish Vocabulary, I realized something different and wanted to share it with you. When people have a baby, we say it in real different way than English.

English sentence: They had a baby girl.
Turkish sentence: Bir kızları oldu. (or I had a baby girl. Bir kızım oldu., She had a babygirl. Bir kızı oldu.)

If I try to translate this Turkish sentence to English, it is like; There became a girl of them. Really quite different way to tell, isn't it?

(Bir bebekleri oldu. They had a baby. Bir oğulları oldu. They had a babyboy.)
